Brazil To Build 'Flying Car' Factory

A Brazilian aviation industry company recently announced that it will build a "flying car" factory to produce electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft that can be used in urban traffic.

The electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft developed by the company is driven by 8 rotors and equipped with fixed wings. It can take off and land with the rotors and cruise with the fixed wings. The cruising range is about 100 kilometers and it can carry 4-6 passengers. Covering various urban traffic scenarios.

The company claims that the fully electric aircraft is efficient and clean, can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 80% compared to cars, and can reduce noise pollution by 90% compared to helicopters, and its commuting costs are less than one-fifth of helicopters. At present, the take-off and landing of the "flying car" still requires manual operation, and it can only use automatic driving during the cruise phase. However, with the continuous improvement and expansion of the system hardware, unmanned driving can be realized in the future.
